I love exploring old places and went in search of the infamous toy duck factory on Cleveland’s east side. I came up short but was still determined to explore one of Cleveland’s many abandoned buildings. I drove around the block scoping out the neighborhood and found the National Acme building. The company once specialized in making metal-cutting machinery before moving their operations elsewhere.
My grandfather worked there for 40 years. I knew he worked there and but not always sure what he did. But I am happy that I got to spend some time where he spent a lot of his time.
There was not much left in the building besides tons of garbage that the city seems to be dumping there as a landfill. Oh and lots of asbestos warning signs. Breathe lightly.
